As we come to the close of 2011, all of us at That’s the Rub Massage Therapy Center would like to thank YOU and all of our clients, friends and supporters in the past year who trusted us to help you in your healthcare goals. We are so happy to be part of your life and to help you make a difference in your health. Thank you for supporting us in our efforts in showing that massage therapy isn’t fluffy – massage therapy can give you results.

This year has been a busy year for us at That’s the Rub Massage Therapy Center. We celebrated one year since opening the Graham Plaza location in March and then we celebrated two years as That’s the Rub in October! has been good to the ’s indeed. We are so excited that our business has created jobs for people and welcomed wonderful massage therapists for our clients!

This year some special people passed through these doors who are missed: graced us for a short time, then moved to Vincennes to go back to school. has left us after two years to pursue her degreed profession by doing an internship at the Chicago Children’s Theater. They are both missed.

We welcomed Kelsey to the front desk concierge position to join Mariza in always having someone there to greet you as you come in the door. Jim of course is omnipresent, although attending Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business most of the time these days, we’re happy to have him around whenever he can be.

Brooke was with us for a short time in the Spring and has come back to work full time with us doing front desk concierge and massage therapy. We have also been joined by Rachel who studied at my alma mater, the Utah College of Massage Therapy, and if you can believe it she to used to be a children’s photographer with the same company as me too. We didn’t meet until she moved to Bloomington over the summer. Such a small world! continues to rock it out doing pregnancy massage,  clinical/therapeutic massage, and the most amazing hot stone. Deborah has been with That’s the Rub Massage Therapy Center since the beginning and has come a long way from massage student/front desk concierge to stand up massage therapist in her own right: The woman does a two hour Deep Tissue Rub! WOW! All of the therapists are now trained in our NEW Results Oriented Spa Services.

We brought new services to the treatment menu with our specialized Rubs and our new Results Oriented Spa Services: That’s the Wrap, The Remedy Rub and The Rub, if you haven’t had the opportunity to try these wonderful and relaxing services, I urge you to do so. I created them based on our product line Farmaesthetics, a small all-natural and organic line out of Rhode Island. Farmaesthetics has been with me at several spas around the country and is top of the line all the way. Results Oriented of course! These services rival any four star spa out there.

I taught our first Couples Massage class this December. It was great fun to teach something I love to others so they can share with each other. Please join me in our next class offering. To be announced soon.

I’m giving a big shout out to all the local artists that have been so generous with their talent to showcase their lovely work in The Center. Every piece of artwork you see is done by a local artist and is for sale right off our walls which many of you know as you are enjoying the art you bought even as you read this.

You have supported us so much (Thank You!) that we picked up a treatment room downstairs in March and we will be picking up another this January, complete with office space for Jim to keep his creative juices flowing. We’re so excited that you will be growing with us!

Here are just a more few items coming in 2012:

We will be launching a larger service menu for you to choose from. Don’t worry all the treatments you know and love will still be on there too.

New websites! With all this new growth we can’t let our website stay the same…or even singular…watch for news!

We’ve been increasing our communication with you and will continue to do so. Please tell us what you want and need on Facebook, on Twitter, on Yelp, and Google Places. We listen, we change, and we grow…that’s how we birthed the Results Oriented Spa Services, when a client lamented not being able to get real spa services in Bloomington.

I will be blogging more on our website.

Watch for videos (Jim is writing them, you’ve been warned), expect more articles,  and plenty of information on how can help you improve your health and achieve your goals.

Tell your friends about us, we will be having a referral program…details to come.

For anyone looking for massage therapy in Bloomington we are the Results Oriented Massage Therapy Center. That means we’re focused on getting the RESULTS that you’re looking for. So set your goals for 2012 and share them with us by email, by Facebook, by phone call. Make an appointment and let us teach you how bodywork can help you achieve your goals in 2012. Whether it’s a nagging pain that you’ve had for years or something that’s new, bodywork can help. Let That’s the Rub Massage Therapy Center be your partner in getting you the RESULTS you’re looking for. We’re here for you. Thank you for being here for us.

Come on 2012!
