The travelers had filled the car with unleaded fuel, but it had a diesel engine. It had been able to run a little way on the wrong fuel, but not far. And when it finally stopped, it stopped for good. 		<description><![CDATA[The Army Times recently ran a great article by Allison Pattillo about the why and how of Fish Oil supplementation, which we at That&#8217;s The Rub recommend a LOT. However, this article cites several studies that show just taking fish oils isn&#8217;t enough, but rather a VERY large dose is in order. Having personally tried this for the last four weeks, I assure you it is worth it! A few highlights from the article: &#8220;The World Health Organization recommends consuming an omega-6/3 ratio of between 5:1 and 10:1, but a 2002 report in the journal Biomedicine &#38; Pharmacotherapy concluded that a ratio between 1:1 and 4:1 is optimal.&#8221; &#8220;Just this year, the Indiana University School of Medicine published the results of a study that showed dramatic improvements in mice with the equivalent of bipolar disorder and its associated alcohol cravings. Alcohol-preferring “P” rats also drank “significantly less” when fed a diet high in DHA.&#8221; &#8220;&#8230;Military and public health doctors that found low levels of omega-3s, especially DHA, to be” a significant risk factor for suicide deaths” among active-duty troops.&#8221; &#8220;&#8230;Recommends his patients take fish oil to treat concussions, to aid in stroke recovery and for traumatic brain injury.&#8221; And much more! In fact, when it comes to low-back pain specifically, researchers say that 70-85 percent of the population will experience it at some point in their lives. Causes of Pain Experts say the cause of back pain can be the result of several factors. High on the list is stress. When our body is stressed, we literally begin to pull inward: the shoulders roll forward and move up to the ears, the neck disappears, and the back tightens in the new posture. &#8220;It&#8217;s an armoring effect,&#8221; says Angie Parris-Raney, a Denver-based massage therapist who specializes in deep-tissue massage and sports therapy. &#8220;That protective mode, with the muscles in flex, can even result in visceral problems,&#8221; she says, where the pain also affects internal organs. 		<description><![CDATA[Lavender essential oil is a one-stop medicine chest, helping to reduce anxiety, fatigue, and stress and balance hormones, increase the immune response, lower blood pressure, and relieve pain. To utilize lavender&#8217;s healing benefits at home, mix five to 10 drops of lavender essential oil in one ounce of jojoba oil or unscented lotion. (Essential oils shouldn&#8217;t be applied directly to the skin, it&#8217;s best to partner them with a carrier oil, liquid, or lotion.) Earaches For earaches, dab one drop of lavender massage oil behind the ear and rub gently. Alternatively, place one drop of lavender oil on a cotton ball and carefully place inside the outer ear.
